Individually, we can save a few, but working with our valued partners, we have significantly expanded the number of animals we can serve.

We are most grateful for our valued partnerships.

Our Valued Partners

World Vets

We are honored to partner with World Vets, an international veterinary aid organization that brings animal welfare services to underserved areas of the world.

Since partnering with Word Vets in 2017, Antigua Street Dogs has gone from one-day spay and neuter clinics to three-day mega clinics in communities with large street animal populations. We are grateful to World Vets and their skilled group of veterinarians, vet techs and dedicated volunteers who travel to Guatemala to volunteer their time and services to help our animals and families.

Our Guatemalan Vets

We are most appreciative of the professional services of the local veterinarians and their staff that have supported us since 2015:
Drs. David and Susan Baiza
Dr. Dennys Marroquin
Dr. Nicole Byrne
Dr. Andrea Merida

Dr. Franco Tobar

Gabriela Alvarez

Gabriela is a Guatemalan vet tech who lives in San Antonio Aguas Calientes. She has participated in our clinics in Santa Maria de Jesus, Antigua and San Antonio Aguas Calientes. She is a hands-on organizer and has taken charge of registration and post-operative checks with animal owners for our events in San Antonio Aguas Calientes. Being an animal rescuer herself, she knows all the rescuers in the community, which is a big plus. In addition, she is an inspiring role model and educator of animal welfare for young people in the community

Salvando Perros Guate

Salvando Perros Guate (SPG) is our educational partner in San Antonia Aguas Calientes. Five teenagers from the nonprofit Creating Opportunities for Guatemalans created SPG during the onset of COVID-19. Through fundraising and support from Antigua Street Dogs, Salvando Perros Guate castrated over 200 animals and rescued and found homes for 35 dogs and cats. Thanks to Jessica Hernandez and the Rotary Interact Club, SPG continues to provide pet welfare education to the young people in San Antonio Aguas Calientes.

Community Volunteers

We are also grateful for the wonderful group of volunteers that give their time to volunteer at a clinic or do fundraising for Antligua Street Dogs. Unfortunately it is impossible to acknowledge all that have contributed their time.
